Dear Fellow Boricua,
As Chief Operating Officer of Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción (IBA) and Treasurer of the National Puerto Rican Agenda (NPRA), I am pleased to invite you to an important conversation and data presentation by the UMass Boston Gastón Institute on “How Puerto Ricans Are Doing in the U.S. and Massachusetts.”
The National Puerto Rican Agenda (NPRA) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 2016 to unite Puerto Ricans across the United States around shared priorities, including civic engagement, economic empowerment, education, environmental justice, and social equity. NPRA brings together community leaders, advocates, and organizations from across the diaspora to amplify our collective voice and advance policies that strengthen our people both on the island and in the states.
This presentation and discussion will serve as a call to action to strengthen leadership and collaboration across Massachusetts as we work toward the formation of a Massachusetts NPRA Chapter.
In addition, we are organizing to represent Massachusetts at the NPRA National Summit, to be held in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on April 9–11, 2026 where delegates from across the country will gather to set the national agenda for Puerto Rican communities.
Date: Friday, November 14, 2025
Location: IBA’s Headquarters, 2 San Juan Street, Boston, MA 02118
Time: 11:30 am – 2 pm
Your participation and insights are essential as we come together to review the data, discuss priorities, and shape the foundation for this new statewide effort.
Please RSVP by November 7, 2025, to confirm your attendance and then, ¡la fiesta continúa !
That same evening, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico will make its Symphony Hall debut through a historic collaboration between IBA and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Under the direction of Maestro Maximiano Valdés, Melodías De Mi Tierra will celebrate Puerto Rican and Caribbean music on one of the world’s most prestigious stages, bringing together classical and popular melodies that reflect the richness of our shared cultural traditions and will celebrate the diverse voices that shape our nation’s musical heritage.
Join us for an unforgettable evening that uplifts our stories, honors our artistry, and celebrates the power of music to unite us.
