February 9,  2017 – President Obama commutes sentence of Oscar Lopez Rivera after massive Puerto Rican campaign to secure his release. 

December 15, 2016 – NPRA letter to President Obama requesting the pardon of Oscar Lopez Rivera.

November 8, 2016 – Conclusion of Puerto Rican voter registration and get out the vote initiatives in Florida such as the “Que Vote Mi Gente” coalition.

November 8, 2016 – Conclusion of campaigns to elect Darren Soto, Florida’s first congressman of Puerto Rican descent, as well as representatives Luis Gutierrez (IL), Jose Serrano (NY), Nydia Velazquez (NY).
